The Manila Health Department - District I has taken a proactive approach towards promoting good oral health among young students. By conducting various dental services for grade 1 students in Jacinto Elementary School, T. Paez Elementary School, and Almario Elementary School, the department aims to encourage students to prioritize their dental hygiene.

One of the services provided was the fluoride application, a dental treatment that involves the application of fluoride on the teeth's surface to prevent tooth decay. This treatment helps protect the teeth from harmful bacteria and strengthens the enamel.

The dentists also conducted sealant treatment, a procedure that involves applying a thin, protective coating on the teeth's biting surfaces. This coating helps prevent decay by keeping bacteria and food particles out of the crevices in the teeth.

In addition to the treatments mentioned above, the Manila Health Department provided permanent filling and extraction services for students who needed them. They also distributed dental freebies to encourage students to practice good oral hygiene at home.

The department expressed their gratitude to the hardworking employees who made the dental services possible. Through these initiatives, the government aims to instill in the younger generation the importance of taking care of their teeth. They hope that by encouraging students to prioritize their oral health, they will maintain a healthy and confident smile for years to come.

The Manila Health Department's efforts towards promoting good oral health among young students are commendable. By providing these services, they not only help students maintain good dental hygiene but also educate them on the importance of taking care of their teeth. These initiatives will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the students' overall health and well-being.
