Malabon City PESO calls on the youth of Malabon to take part in their Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) 2023. Starting today, online registration is now open for qualified students and out of school youth in Malabon aged 15 to 25 years old.
The program aims to provide employment opportunities to Malabonian students and out of school youth who are in need of financial assistance. The program requires participants to have a passing grade or a general weighted average (GWA) to qualify. The combined annual income of the student and their parents should not exceed the regional poverty threshold of Php 197, 868.00 or a monthly income of Php 16,489.00.
Interested students and out of school youth may scan the QR code or register through the link provided (https://bit.ly/SPES-LGU) by the Malabon City PESO. The deadline for registration is on March 26, 2023.
The SPES program is a flagship program of the government that provides temporary employment to students during summer or Christmas vacation to augment their financial needs. The program is implemented by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in coordination with local government units (LGUs).
The Malabon City PESO is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the program in Malabon. The office is in charge of identifying employers and companies that can provide temporary employment opportunities to qualified students and out of school youth in the city.
The program not only helps the participants but also contributes to the economy of the city. The employment generated from the program provides temporary employment opportunities that help in the creation of economic activities in the city.
For any inquiries, students and out of school youth may contact the Malabon City PESO. With the SPES program, Malabon City continues to provide opportunities for its youth to gain experience, learn new skills, and earn a living.
