Malabon opens another health center
A new health center in Malabon City was inaugurated Monday to accommodate more residents who are in need of medical assistance from the local government, according to a report by Manila Bulletin.
Mayor Lenlen Oreta led the opening of two-storey Super Health Center in Barangay Catmon which he said was launched “to give residents additional medical services, especially in time of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
He said the new facility will bring health care closer to residents of District 1 or those living in barangays Panghulo, Maysilo, Santulan, Dampalit, Muzon, Hulong Duhat, Flores, Bayan-bayanan, Baritan, Concepcion, Niugan, Ibaba, San Agustin, and Tañong.
The services being offered in the Super Health Center include pediatric, adult, internal, and obstetrics-gynecological clinic consultations. The facility also offers the processing of CBC (complete blood chemistry), urinalysis, minor surgeries, and laboratory test results.
A birthing facility will also be built while x-ray and ultrasound services will also be added, the local government said.
Another health center will also rise to accommodate residents of District 2.
