Malabon issues ordinance on registration of certificates
Ipinasa ng Sangguniang Panlungsod ang City Ordinance No. 26-2020 na nagtatakda ng mandatory registration ng Certificate of Live Birth sa Local Civil Registry Department mula sa mga paanakan o ospital sa loob ng 30 araw mula pagkapanganak.
Para naman sa mga hindi kasal ang magulang ng batang isinilang, mandatory para sa mga magulang ang pagpaparehistro ng Birth Certificate ng kanilang mga anak sa loob ng 30 araw mula pagkapanganak.
Mandatory na rin ang pagpaparehistro ng mga punerarya ng Certificate of Death sa Civil Registry sa loob ng 30 araw mula pagkamatay.
Ang sinumang lalabag sa ordinansa ay papatawan ng P5,000 multa o pagkakakulong ng isang buwan at isang araw hanggang tatlong buwan.
Ang Mayor’s Permit ng lalabag na birthing clinic, hospital, o funeral parlor ay sususpendehin ng isang buwan sa unang paglabag; sususpendehin ng tatlong buwan sa pangalawang paglabag; at babawiin sa pangatlong paglabag.
