Malabon detects Delta variant in the city
The Delta variant of the COVID-19 was detected in Malabon City, according to a report by Manila Bulletin.
The local government on Wednesday made the announcement, citing information from the Department of Health (DOH).
“Our City Health Office and other concerned offices are working 24/7 to manage the increase in cases,” Mayor Lenlen Oreta said in a statement.
According to the local government, the mayor already informed all the city’s barangay leaders regarding the detection of the new virus variant.
Currently, the patient is already isolated as well as the patient’s close contacts.
As of today, there are 226 active COVID-19 cases in Malabon.
