Malabon allows outdoor activities
Malabon City allows outdoor activities but reminded the residents to follow minimum health protocols amid the surge in coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the city, according to a report by Manila Bulletin.
Mayor Lenlen Oreta posted on social media on Friday that the city will allow outdoor activities.
“Maaaring maglakad-lakad, jogging, running at mag-bike sa inyong lugar (You can walk, jog, run and bike in your area),” he said.
“Sa gitna ng mga additional restrictions under GCQ, mahalaga pa rin ang mapanatili nating malakas ang ating resistensya (Amid the additional restrictions under GCQ, it is still important that we keep our immune system strong),” he added.
The city mayor urged the residents to stay in their areas to limit exposure to the virus.
“Hangga’t maaari, ‘wag ng dumayo muna sa malalayong lugar upang maiwasan pa ang mas malalang exposure sa COVID-19. ‘Wag din kalilimutan na palagi pa ring magsuot ng facemask at panatilihin ang physical distancing mula sa ibang tao (As much as possible, do not go to other places to avoid more serious exposure to COVID-19. ‘Also don’t forget to always still wear a facemask and keep physical distancing from other people),” he said.
“Paalala, bawal pa rin ang mass gathering upang kahit papaano ay ma-kontrol natin ang lalong pagkalat ng COVID-19 sa lungsod (mass gatherings are still prohibited so that we can somehow control the further spread of COVID-19 in the city),” he added.
As of March 26 (Friday), the city recorded 1,086 active COVID cases.
