More than 2,800 beneficiaries of the Cash for Work program attended the orientation held at the Malabon Sports Complex on Tuesday. The program aims to provide temporary employment opportunities to those in need, and the beneficiaries will start working for 10 days beginning tomorrow, March 8, until March 17, 2022.
The Cash for Work program is an initiative of the local government of Malabon under the City Social Welfare and Development Department (CSWDD). The program offers a temporary solution to the unemployment problem, especially during the pandemic, and provides a source of income for those who are struggling financially.
Rezie Gajisan from Barangay Tañong expressed her gratitude for being selected as a beneficiary of the program. She shared that the cash assistance she will receive will be a huge help to her family's daily needs.
During the orientation, the beneficiaries were briefed about the program's guidelines, including the duration of the work, the daily rate of payment, and the safety protocols to be observed while working.
The program is an excellent example of the local government's efforts to address the needs of its constituents, especially during these challenging times. It is a testament to the government's commitment to finding practical solutions to the problems faced by its citizens.
The beneficiaries of the Cash for Work program are encouraged to work diligently and observe the guidelines set by the program to ensure their safety and the success of the initiative.
